KUIS Media Station

Do you listen to the radio, recently? Less young people listen to it, and more people watch TV or use the Internet. In Japan, however, the radio was the biggest media about 30 years ago. It is KUIS Media Station that broadcasts various radio programs on the Internet. KUIS Media Station is composed by more than 10 students, and some teachers help us.

What do we do in KUIS Media Station? As it was mentioned before, we make radio programs. We do plan what topic we broadcast about, what it is for, and who the main listeners are. Based on the plan, we gather information about the topic; interview people, search on the Internet, and use other media tools. Then, after detail preparation, we record radio programs. We also make the web page to put radio programs, and show pictures to give the listeners visual information. In order to have a lot of people know the existence of KUIS Media Station, effective advertisements are needed. “What words are people attracted by?” “Which construction is easy to see?” We’re carefully considered how we can create catchy advertisements. Red posters, the complete works, are put on the window at several places in KUIS.

We create new things from zero, so it is really tough. We failed again and again. We recreate works to make the best one. But we make things that we like cooperating each other. We drive for being a bridge the gap between Japan and foreign countries by informing information through the radio and the Internet. We, KUIS Media Station, are pioneer of the Internet radio in KUIS!
