Flamenco at Kanda

Have you ever watched flamenco? I guess most of people in Japan have never watched it. Flamenco is the most famous dance in Spain. It is very close to their life. It is like Japanese traditional dance “BON-ODORI”. Flamenco has some various dances by different area. Some of them are very cheerful dance and others are powerful one.

What do you image when you hear the word “flamenco”? You can easily image a flamenco dancer who is dancing with a rose in their mouth. However, theimage is wrong. The real flamenco dancer put on a rose on hair as an accessory. If you have chance to watch flamenco, you should better to watchdancer’s hair. They absolutely put on a rose.

However, you may not have so many chances to watch flamenco, so would youcome to“Hamakaze Festival” ? You can watch flamenco show in there. Membersof flamenco club have practiced hardly for three days in a week. This year’s show already finished, but we will do it next year. If you are interestedin flamenco, please come to our flamenco show.We are looking forward to see you next Hamakaze Festival!
